Mari Pshenichnikova – sensitive and unique design personality – from Russia to Italy: Text by Nina Sever
Mari’s clothes are not simply clothes, they’re following architectural ideas and they transform according to the personality they have to wrap. Any item flows within the body and still lining up with the surroundings, making the appearance unique, sensual and giving that drop of undeniable feminine confidence. The fabrics look elegant, but the shapes seem playful, adaptable and sensitive to whatever situation comes along.
This line in particular talks about that bond between what’s changeable and fluid and what’s static and lordly. The whole team wanted to transmit that sensation of the model being completely at ease in a simple and elitist location. We find ourselves in Moscow, where’s Mari from herself (now based in Florence, Italy, where her fashion studying brought her), in one of a complex of luxury and really tasteful apartments by the company PIAFF, one of the primates in the Russian city. The model, Nastya Bezrukova, is interacting with the furnitures and the ambience just following the sensations arising in the body, depending on the angle, the dress and the lightning of the conceptual Russian photographer Natali Do (from Siberia, now based in Moscow).
This is the result of three really sensitive Russian women.
